MountainSphere Adventures | Navigation Weekend 25-26 June 2026

It isn’t often that navigation “weekends” are run on weekdays but this one was, and lo and behold it attracted a great group of 9 enthusiastic navigators. The fact that the trip also happened to be just a few days after the winter solstice didn’t deter them either. The low cloud and very light drizzle made for some moody lighting, and on Friday morning, a rainbow. The late afternoon and evening was damp and drizzling, it got dark early, but we were encamped in a sheltered location out of the rain and so we could enjoy a very comfortable evening. The enthusiastic group learned a huge amount of new bush navigation skills and everyone is keen to return for more adventures in the future. A great “weekend”.
